On the T32 Rogue the low-beam bulb itself is a 10-second twist-and-pull job. The time goes into getting a hand back there: the passenger-side housing is blocked by the air cleaner box and the driver-side by the fuse box and battery. Most owners loosen the air box on the right and, if they have big hands, lift the battery out on the left. No bumper removal is needed.
The mistake people make is buying the wrong bulb or, worse, a bulb they can't use at all. Halogen T32 Rogues take H11 low beams; trims with factory LED headlights have no replaceable low-beam bulb and the whole headlamp assembly is the service part. Check what you have before ordering. The second mistake is handling the new halogen glass bare-handed, then wondering why it burned out in a month.

Tool sizes are the same across the 2.5 L QR25DE and the 2017-2019 2.0 L MR20DD hybrid โ 10 mm covers the air box, battery and headlamp bolts on both. What changes is the headlamp itself: halogen S/SV/early SL use an H11 low beam and 9005 high beam, while LED-equipped trims (mostly 2017-2020 SL and LED-package SV) have sealed LED low beams with no serviceable bulb.
| Battery terminal clamp nuts | verify in the service manual (snug, roughly 4-5 Nm โ do not overtighten lead clamps) |
| Battery hold-down bracket | verify in the service manual |
| Air cleaner box mounting bolts (10 mm) | verify in the service manual (hand-snug is sufficient) |
| Headlamp assembly mounting bolts (10 mm) | verify in the service manual |
H11 low beam and 9005/HB3 high beam plus the 10 mm fasteners are correct for halogen-equipped 2014-2020 T32 Rogues; check your own bulb base or the owner's manual bulb chart before buying, since LED-headlamp trims and some late-build mid trims differ.
Halogen-equipped T32 Rogues use an H11 55 W bulb for the low beam and a 9005 (HB3) for the high beam. Trims with factory LED headlights have no replaceable low-beam bulb.
No. You can reach both bulbs from the engine bay. On the passenger side loosen the air cleaner box with a 10 mm socket; on the driver side move the fuse box and, if your hands are large, remove the battery. Pulling the headlamp (two top and one side 10 mm bolts, plus the plastic grille cover) is optional if you want easy access.
Usually fingerprints on the glass, a bulb not fully locked into the housing so it runs hot and vibrates, or a dust boot left unseated letting moisture in. Cheap ultra-white bulbs also have much shorter rated life than standard H11s.
They fit physically but the halogen reflector isn't designed for an LED emitter, so the beam scatters, throws glare at other drivers, and the cutoff gets worse. Some also trigger flicker or a bulb-out warning. Stick with a quality H11 halogen, or budget for a factory LED assembly.
