The E210 Corolla makes this job friendlier than older Corollas. The front bearing is a bolt-on hub unit held to the steering knuckle by four bolts, so you do not need a press, a bearing separator or a trip to a machine shop. Ninety percent of the difficulty is the staked 30 mm axle nut and, on salt-belt cars, the rust holding the hub in the knuckle bore.
The two mistakes people make are reusing the staked axle nut and levering the old hub out with a pry bar against the bearing seal. That seal carries the ABS magnetic encoder ring, and once it is scratched or contaminated with steel dust you get ABS, VSC and (on hybrids) hybrid system warnings that no amount of resetting will clear. Buy a new axle nut with the hub, and pull the hub with a bolt-on puller or slide hammer on the studs.
